“I think we exist, in large part, to have conversations.”

In other related news,

I just realized that I’ve spent so much of the past some twelve hours laughing to myself. Primarily because of this great site called “whenparentstext.com” and then because of this text sent to me by my sister who also got the brunt end of the “doing cool stuff with mom” stick (although voluntarily, as she snowboards with her boyfriend like a whole winter’s dream), which read, “Steven’s cousin just said litter leaf! Ahahahaha” (with that much emphasis on the inaudible but so important laughter). Litter leaf is a funny way I’ve been saying “literally” because of no one.

And then I opened this email from my friend which ends with:

p.s. did you know the queen has released her Christmas speech and this year her topic is SPORT AND GAMES?
According to moments 3:00-4:30 sport and games is the best way to build community and mayne people give up their precious time to participate in sport and games.

Don’t miss it.

take care,

Then I laughed at myself for feeling alone when so apparently, we’re always just one thing.

Pitiable or funny

After spending the afternoon playing the piano in an empty house, and reading in bed in a half-awake, half-attentive, half-reckless state, I received a phone call from my mother as she buys new things with my brother and sister. They laughed (gloatingly? sinisterly?) in the background. As if I needed to feel more profoundly alone!
