Shepard Fairey’s Portrait of Aung San Suu Kyi
“Human beings the world over need freedom and security that they may be able to realize their full potential. The struggle for democracy and human rights in Burma is a struggle for life and dignity. It is a struggle that encompasses our political, social and economic aspirations.” - Aung San Suu Kyi
Reports from CNN this morning claim that she has finally been released!

Myanmar activist Aung San Suu Kyi was released from house arrest Saturday, police outside her home said. CNN could not independently verify the report. Crowds of supporters waited near her home in Yangon and hundreds of others waited near her National League for Democracy.
