Stars ”Fixed”
No big deal or anything but I went to see Stars last weekend at the House of Blues, Tina’s very impelling remark of “‘Elevator Love Letter’ live… come on!” causing me to accept the nearly $30 ticket price.
Beyond worth it. Stars puts on a brilliant, ambrosial show - lights synchronized to Torq’s toe-tapping and head-swinging, red roses elegantly taped along the mic stands and amps, not one but TWO bubble machines…! Also they had a very misleading intermission convincing the crowd that they’d flown the coop sans grandeur or a goodbye, but they were back to play us out - the first time I’ve been to a show where everyone was so fully satisfied with the set that it would have been too much to ask for an encore. And I was happy to find out that Amy Millan is radiantly pregnant!
They’re basically on their last leg of their Autumn Tour, so I’m not sure if they’ll be passing through your city as of this writing. But if you ever have the rare opportunity to catch Stars, I promise you can’t miss it. Think about it this way: “Elevator Love Letter” LIVE!
